STEP 1
Catch some tourney fish!
During this event, you can catch special tourney fish in the location where the event is being held.
Note: You might catch something different than what's pictured here.
Look for the fish with sparkling shadows! When you see one, try to catch it!
Notes regarding tourney fish
· Tourney fish can only be caught during Fishing Tourneys.
· During the Fishing Tourney, tourney fish will respawn every three hours. Once they've respawned, you will have the chance to catch them up to six to nine times.
· When you've caught all of the tourney fish, no more will appear until the next respawn time.
STEP 2
Turn in your fish for rewards!
Note: You might catch something different than what's pictured here.
When the total size reaches a goal, you'll get a reward.
Note: Rewards pictured are only examples. Actual rewards change for each tourney.
You can check rewards and their requirements in Goals > Total Size > Reward List.
STEP 3
Go for the gold!
When you reach certain total-size goals, the rank of your trophy will increase.
Catch lots of fish and aim for the gold fish trophy!
After the Fishing Tourney, you'll receive a trophy.
The trophy will feature the total size of tourney fish caught.
Don't forget to grab it from your mailbox!
Trophy details
Trophies can be picked up by logging in after the Fishing Tourney has ended.
Go to Items and select the trophy and then Details to see the total size of fish caught.
Challenges
During the event, you will receive rewards for completing Chip Challenges! After you complete a challenge, press the Claim button next to your reward in the Challenges list.
Note: Rewards pictured are only examples. Actual rewards change for each tourney.
You can check the requirements for each reward in Chip Challenges under the Fishing Tourney button.
Helpful Tools
■ Golden Rod
Note: You might catch something different than what's pictured here.
The golden rod is a special rod that is guaranteed to catch two tourney fish each time. It's recommended for those who want maximum efficiency.
You can rent one with Leaf Tickets if you want to give it a try.
Note: If you have a camp caretaker, their fish will also be doubled. You can collect the fish from their report.
■ Tourney Throw Nets
You can catch many tourney fish at once by using tourney throw nets!
You can use these even when tourney fish aren't spawning. They're very useful when you want to catch some fish right away.
Tap the button on the pier to use them.
Notes on golden rod and tourney throw net
■ Golden Rod Notes
· You can rent the golden rod by speaking to Chip.
· The golden rod is only effective during the Fishing Tourney.
· When the Fishing Tourney ends, the golden rod will be returned and you will automatically switch back to a normal fishing rod. If you wish to use another golden rod for the next Fishing Tourney, you will have to rent it again.
· The golden rod will not affect tourney fish respawn timing.
· If the golden rod is rented after the tourney fish have all been caught, you will be unable to catch more tourney fish until they respawn.
■ Tourney Throw Net Notes
· You'll need to use Leaf Tickets to use a lg. tourney throw net.
· All tourney throw nets and lg. tourney throw nets may only be used during the Fishing Tourney.
· The tourney throw nets and lg. tourney throw nets you have in your inventory will stay in your inventory at the end of the Fishing Tourney and will be made available again once the next Fishing Tourney has begun.
· The fish you can catch with tourney throw nets and lg. tourney throw nets will change depending on the Fishing Tourney.
Notes on Fishing Tourney
· Check the Fishing Tourney schedule and details in the Fishing Tourney menu.
· If you use a net after the Fishing Tourney has ended, a message saying "Sorry, the Fishing Tourney is now over" will be displayed. If the above message is displayed, no items or Leaf Tickets will be expended.
· Tourney fish will disappear if they have not been given to Chip by the time the Fishing Tourney ends.
· If you log in by 5:59 a.m. on the day after the Fishing Tourney ends, any fish not yet turned in will be automatically measured and reflected in your total-size record. Any unclaimed total-size rewards will be delivered to your mailbox.
· Chip Challenge rewards will be placed in your inventory after they are claimed. If your inventory is full they will be sent to your mailbox.
· If you log in by 5:59 a.m. on the day after the tournament ends, any unclaimed rewards will be sent to your mailbox.
